The Fiberglass reinforced plastic, due to its versatility is enlarged used at the civil construction industry, at the automobilistic industry, at the furniture industry, and at the nautic industry
between others.
The spray process, used in opened moulds, as the RTM process, used in closed molds, are ones of the application ways joining the resin and the catalyst to the fiberglass reinforce.
At the spray process equipments, there are guns with an especial cutter, they project and join the resin and catalyst with the fiberglass hole cutted still in the air before they enter in contact with the mould, in which they will be compacted through the resin rollers and brushes.
The wet-out equipments are used when a fiberglass is used in blankets or cloths; they are over the mould you just have to applicate resin with catalyst for doing impregnation.
At the RTM process (Resin Transfer Molding), used in closed moulds, the fiberglass is priorly put inside a mould where resin with catalyst will be injected.
The gel-coat is a coloured resin, which is used to put out the piece finished, it is applicated on the mold before lamination or dispensing start process.
